Feature Flag Requirement
In-app notifications are controlled by the in_app_notifications feature flag. If you don't see the notification bell, your organization may not have this feature enabled.
Contact your organization admin or SureStage support to enable the feature.
Common Issues
Notification bell not showing - Verify the in_app_notifications feature flag is enabled for your organization. Check Feature Flags.
Not receiving notifications for shared simulations - Check notification preferences to ensure Sharing invitations is enabled.
Too many notifications - Enable Digest mode to consolidate notifications into a single daily or weekly email.
Missing critical alerts - Ensure Quiet Hours is not muting important notifications. Critical system alerts should bypass quiet hours.
Best Practices
Check notifications daily - Don't let the unread count pile up. Review and archive regularly.
Use read/unread as a flag - Mark important notifications as unread to remind yourself to follow up.
Enable digests for noisy categories - If simulation changes flood your inbox, switch to daily digest mode.
Set quiet hours - Avoid notification fatigue by muting non-critical alerts during evenings and weekends.
Archive aggressively - Keep the notification panel clean by archiving items you've acted on.
